The USS Nevada, the only capital ship to get underway during the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor is the subject of this dramatic painting. The burning hull of The USS Arizona is in the background as the Nevada, under the command of L Cdr. Francis Thomas makes its dash for the channel.
