Update your early model (up to 12 05) M5 or M6 vanos pump gears with this later version when rebuilding your vanos oil pump. The updated gear has a redesigned tooth profile to address failures in the early versions. Note: You will also need the updated Vanos pump helical gear with this item if converting from the older version. It's also recommended to update the pump chain guides as well.
