Evangelist and it is difficult notAn absolutely beautifully preserved early 19th century Parian bust of George Whitefield, (1714 1770). Likely issued for the 1839 Centennial of the Great Awakening. Very scarce and desirable. Measures 14. 5 inches in height, 7. 5 inches wide. Very attractively patinated over time with very good detail retained to the figure and face. Some very light wear, handling and a small, expert repair on the rear.
