The varnish and some of the silver plating is worn and it has some knocks. All of the pads and corks are in a good condition. It has a fitting on the boot cap for a spike however no spike comes with the bassoon; this could be purchased retrospectively. The bassoon was purchased 9 years ago from another bassoonist. It is now being sold due to no longer being used
