2025 Mother Rock, Swartland, Liquid Skin Cuvee_Sursis limestone-heavy soils that define theMother Rock is the project of winemaker Johan "Stompie" Meyer, based at his estate on the Piketberg Mountain in the northern reaches of the Swartland. The fruit for this bottling is made from dry farmed Chenin Blanc vines planted in 1984, which grow in decomposed granite and clay soils on the Paardeberg Mountain. In the glass, it shows complex aromatics of fynbos, citrus, and stone fruit, balanced by a pithy, textured structure and persistent grip.
